So I’ve been playing around with layering two composites together and using windows to merge the “worlds” into a cohesive scene. Editing wise these are a lot more labor intensive than what I’ve been doing previously since I’m more or less creating two complete composites and then putting them together. I like being able to create lots of depth and have a lot going on. I feel like I have more room to tell a “story” with each individual photo.
Something with this process has me pretty excited again. I feel like I have more options now and I can tweak my home environment to make the scenes what I want. Like normally out my back window is the deck/pool but I can just make it a backyard in the composite and so I just feel like a whole new window (pun intended lol) of opportunity just opened up with this project. I think I want to try something with the garage next, like a scene happening in the garage and the garaged door is open and there’s another scene happening on the driveway. We shall see.
